Hahaha,
So Dan and I played a great game of old-school 1st ed. AD&D last night. We rolled up a barbarian named Earthgar for him in the heart of Icewind Dale, a hardened man, honored member of his tribe. He was stationed at Brynn Shander, gathering supplies with his tribe for the coming long winter.
Whilst his tribesmen set about drinking ale and carousing, this die-hard decided to head out of town for a fresh hunt. He strode across the tundra, finding himself in a thicket where he was to meet an old contact...a huntsman. They spoke for a moment of trade, and then Earthgar offered him a meal of Rabbit.
They supped together, until from out of the treeline two fierce looking wolves set upon them. Swiftly they sprung into action, dispatching the larger of the two, while the smaller one ran off into the woods. Earthgar was badly hurt, and he tended to himself by the fire while his companion left for home.
Smelling of blood and badly injured, he... decided to take a nap?
It was with that, that Earthgar was woken in the early morning by a wolf biting out his throat. A wolf with one hit point left .
And so ended the great Legend of Earthgar.
Let's have a D&D night soon, fellas!
