+ Those that are not grappled are attacking at -5 to hit because of the darkness, with an additional swim check necessary each post IF YOURE USING A WEAPON LARGER THAN A DAGGER (target number for swim check is 10) or else you incur an additional -5 to hit.

I'm a little confused about damage



I rolled 11 out of a maximum value of 17.

The sharks have a dr of 15. Does that mean. On a hit. I only do damage on a 16 or 17.



and if I'm understanding it correctly with a DR of 15, a dmg roll of 16 and 17 would be 1 or 2 respectively.



assuming that's correct, if someone else hits the same target in the same round would the soak apply to their damage or would they bypass that do damage directly.





for this fight though I would have to hit the shark 6 times successfully at max to kill it.

I feel like I'm missing something

My sword does 4D6+2D6 of damage giving me Max possible damage of 36. Subtract 15 from my damage and I still do 21 Max. So I could possibly one hit a shark

The DR represents toughness and armor and it is applied to every hit for each round.

So you did 11 damage and the Shark had a DR of 15.

Therefore you take your damage and substract the DR.

11 - 15 = -4; 0 damage done.

Art, your max damage is 34?

Damage = MIGHT + Sword Damage

So for you, it's 3D6+2 + 2D+2 = 5D6 + 4
